“Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of Godly people will be blessed.” – Psalm 112: 2.
There are high declarations of God’s favour to his children and their offspring. When we part with anything just for him, and put him in total charge, He never holds back in Giving and Grace. The presence of God is intense in the tabernacle of the righteous. The loving-kindness of God is of no limit towards the virtuous. He calls his own the blessed and he says “The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him. Abraham in this confirmation of the covenant with him, exceeding any he had yet been blessed with.” – Proverbs 20:7 .
The seed of the blessed shall be prospered; honoured; distinguished among people. Their virtues will distinguish them, their influence will make them shine, their skills will make a way for them and their success will seat them amongst the kings. The blessing of the seed of the blessed is not limited, it is successive. The generation of the righteous shall wax strong and be of tremendous impact to the society; living in dominion. Every promise of God to Abraham came to pass even when he was not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel. Why the fret parents, the Lord forsakes not the upright, He keeps his seed into perfection. He engages the wicked in a scuffle; it does not matter how many they are, he vindicates and embraces the seed of the righteous. “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” – Proverbs 11:21. So all forces working against the seed of the righteous are downrightly suffering defeats. We are the Blessed!
My favourite time of the year is here. Many of you may share my preference for the beginning of a school year when everything is possible, when excitement, enthusiasm, motivation and a renewed sense of purpose is evident everywhere you turn. Keen to know why I deserve two months break? … Come to my school this week – LOL!
Ready or not, a new school year is here! YAY!!!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the school doors open again and the summer days end, so is it the time to buckle up our belts in the mission of raising Godly and flourishing children the Lord has call us into. Let us seek the presence of God, let us go before him with thanksgiving for the wonderful blessings He has given us through our children. Raising a child is awesome but very often an overwhelming responsibility, but God in His trust and mercy committed these children in our hands hoping we would do our best in moulding them into his taste. We must not fail him, we have to lift them up to God every moment even as they begin every new year at school. We must power them up physically and spiritually.
Friends, I encourage you to get involved in your child’s learning throughout the year. Be visible in the school as much as you can and become active partner in the education process of your child.
Share your ideas, concerns and encouragements with the school and your child’s teacher especially. Make it prompt in order to create the best possible learning experience for your child.
Set a firm foundation for them on your knees and in your words to them. Never say “You can’t”; be a voice of hope and assurance to your seeds. Be a mother who looks beyond the report cards. Your children are asking for inspiration, and you are the one that will give them. Know that success stems from inspirations. Remind your seed not to let go, never to give up. Hold them by the hands in love in order to achieve the dreams within. Encourage the hopes in them because hope happens, please make hope happen for them.
In raising our children, we are not just building buildings but we are constructing constructs. One day at a time, a step after the other, stacking bricks upon bricks, we get the building we desire which is moral uprightness and great accomplishments in our children.
We need to commit our seeds into the hands of the Lord that they might walk in safety, and all of God’s unique loveliness intact. Stand in the place of prayer that the presence of God be everywhere our seeds are and keep them safe. The presence of God will be ongoing in the schools so that they can be comfortable and able to learn. We have the promise from the Rock that never fails that: “The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.” – Psalm 102:28.
For those children who are not performing to the expectations of their parents or not conforming to the social norms, I say there is hope in Zion. The Lord whose name is light will illuminate their lives and shed light in their understanding. Not to worry, but always remember, “And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord, that thy children shall come again to their own border” – Jeremiah 31:17.
The seeds of the righteous shall increase in stature and in grace, they will grow more and more in all respects, and better and better in every way. Do not indulge the wrongdoings of your seeds, wink not at their unacceptable attitudes. Check their non-compliance to accepted standard. Frown at the behaviours that are not in accordance with the law or morality, hence they become customs, and lead to abominations. Use your parental authority to restrain and correct them in their formative years. “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” – Ephesians 6:4. As a new school year begins, the Lord will fill the hearts of our seeds with eagerness to learn in the wholeness of it. Because Jesus grew in stature and in wisdom, obtaining great favour, their growth shall not be taunted. Their physical development will not be delayed, their brains will not grow dull, and they will be preferred for greatness.
In this school year, may the Lord grant the teachers with gifts of wisdom, care and patience in order to help the students learn appropriately and perform in excellence. Lord, instil in the hearts of our seeds the desire to learn, grow, mature, and put the best in their educational endeavours. Most importantly Lord, please keep in them the desire to keep You in their lives.
Happy New School Year!
