I have read and listened to many life stories lately that I began to wonder; what else is yet to be heard of? Indeed there is no new thing under the heavens. Seasons go, seasons come with series of life drama, games and lessons. The common denominator to all human stories is that ONLY GOD can do a NEW THING. He indeed is GOD ALONE. Setbacks, huddles, other people or yourself are the challenges calling for attention. The kind of attention you give is the choice you make. Feeling dejected or invigorated are the options.
The power in the capacity of man lies in the choice we make. Life presents what it has in it; so you must present to life what you have in you. Remember He who is in you is greater than he who in the world. Jesus is Himself called LIFE. He is the essence of every life existence. Nothing found in Him can be found in you. He is the ‘another person’ found in you. Find strength in your faith in Jesus. Cease to rely on the arms of flesh for they do fail. Err to the side of Prudence and obedience, effect changes where you need to, but never change your mission as given by God.
What is your story?
What has changed in your life?
You are a fresh immigrant? – Look unto Jesus, talk to people who can lead you on the positive path.
Your husband walked away? – Jesus is the husband of the church including you.
You chose to walk out on your husband? – Ask God to help you see His stand in your action.
You work many jobs to make ends meet? – Ask God for a different spirit to excel.
You are physically indisposed? – There is still balm in Gilead. You will soon leap for joy.
No matter your situation is reading … CHOOSE JOY!
Who is the “another person” inside of you?
That should be Jesus. He says ‘come unto me all those who are suffering and heavy laden, I will give you rest’.
The word of God says He who is in you is greater that he who is in the world..
When horses and chariots, and a great host were sent against Elisha and his servants, the enemies came at night; they planned to come upon them unawares, and undiscovered. They compassed the city about so that Elisha might not make his escape out of it. Elisha’s servant was terrified, he expressed: “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” Would that be the same questions you are asking? Here is the answer as it came to Elisha’s servant: “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
Elisha knew his servant needed a deeper insight into what was going on around them, he inquired God to open the eyes of his servant to see the hosts of heaven on their side.
They were not alone afterwards, just as you are not alone today.
Remain on the Lord’s side… CHOOSE JOY!
Habakkuk 2:3 – For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Write down your vision
Be stubborn about your goals
Be flexible about your method
Expect criticism as supposed to support and praise
Let nothing change your God given vision
